How Long Is Mortal Shell 2? Story and Completion Time
Plan a Mortal Shell 2 playthrough with a 20–40 hour first-run range and separate expectations for story progress, exploration and achievements.
Short answer: allow 20 to 40 hours
The current first-run estimate is 20 to 40 hours. A direct player who follows the regional route should land near the lower end; dungeon exploration, Shell hunting and repeated boss attempts push toward the upper end.
Completion takes more than one cycle
The trophy roadmap estimates 40 to 60 hours for all 53 achievements and expects two full runs plus part of a third because all Shell Memories require additional Glimpses.
What changes the estimate
The open world does not use one fixed corridor. Optional dungeons, 154 trophy-related collectibles, 49 Beacon locations and build experimentation can add substantial time, while a route guide removes backtracking.
